Volunteer FAQs

  • Do I need to have special skills?

No experience is required – just a willingness to work and to learn!

  • How old does a ReStore volunteer need to be?

To volunteer at our ReStores, you must be at least 16 years of age. Youth ages 16-18 are not permitted to use power tools or be on ladders.

All youth volunteers must bring a Youth Waiver and Release of Medical Treatment form filled out and signed by their parent/guardian.

  • When can I volunteer at the ReStore?

Call for available times—we are very flexible! All volunteers will need to complete a waiver form.

  • What do I need to bring to the ReStore?

Please bring lunch or snacks, water bottle, and sturdy/closed shoes (no flip flops, sandals, or crocs).

  • What if I’m doing community service for school or for the courts?

All community service hours must be done at the ReStores. You cannot perform your community service hours with Habitat if your ticket is related to theft, aggression or crimes involving minors. All court ordered volunteers must read our Court Community Service packets.

  • How do I sign up?

Fill out the form online on our volunteer page, call, or stop by!
